  • Processos estruturais no Brasil

  • A Ressignificação Do Ativismo Judicial Pela Evolução Jurisprudencial Do Supremo Tribunal Federal

Open Access•Fernanda Viégas, Felipe Viegas•ARTICLE•Revista Acadêmica da Faculdade de…•2021

De há muito cresce a tensão entre os Poderes da República, fruto da problemática separação funcional das instituições democráticas. • Data Portraits

Judith Donath, Alex Dragulescu et al.•ARTICLE•Leonardo•2010•Cited by: 2

Data portraits depict their subjects' accumulated data rather than their faces. They can be visualizations of discussion contributions, browsing histories, social networks, travel patterns, etc. They are subjective renderings that mediate between the artist's vision, the subject's self-presentation, and the audience's interest. Designed to evocatively depict an individual, a data portrait can be a decorative object or be used as an avatar, one's …

  • Timelinestag Clouds and the Case for Vernacular Visualization

Open Access•Fernanda Viégas, Fernanda B Viégas et al.•ARTICLE•interactions•2008

Most HCI history articles trace digital developments back to the 1980s, 1960s, or earlier. Information visualization is moving so rapidly that it's great to have a look back and glance forward on tag clouds, just over a decade old in digital form, from leading visualization researchers Fernanda Viégas and Martin Wattenberg. ---Jonathan Grudin

  • Visualizing Conversation

    Open Access•Judith Donath, Karrie Karahalios et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Computer-Mediated…•2006•Cited by: 4•References: 1

Although the archive of text generated by a persistent conversation (i.e. newsgroup, mailing list, recorded chat, etc.) is searchable, it is not very expressive of the underlying social patterns. In this paper we will discuss the design of graphical interfaces that reveal the social structure of the conversation by visualizing patterns such as bursts of activity, the arrival of new members, or the evolution of conversational topics. Our focus is …

  • Bloggers' Expectations of Privacy and Accountability

    Open Access•Fernanda Viégas, Fernanda B Viégas•ARTICLE•Journal of Computer-Mediated…•2006•Cited by: 16

This article presents an initial snapshot, based on an online survey of weblog authors, of bloggers' subjective sense of privacy, and of their perceptions of liability. The findings suggest that the social norms of bloggers are emergent and self-imposed. When confronted with questions of defamation and legal liability, respondents in the survey expressed contradictions between their actions and their knowledge of how the technology works. They ge…
