  • Exploring factors affecting malaria vaccination intention and Covid-19 vaccine uptake

Open Access•S Cortaredona, Cheick Sokhna et al.•ARTICLE•BMC Public Health•2026

These findings suggest that although some determinants are vaccine-specific, most are shared across vaccines. The results offer actionable insights to guide future malaria vaccination strategies. Further research in urban settings and across diverse countries is warranted to enhance understanding of cross-vaccine perceptions and to inform targeted communication efforts

  • The limits of behavioral nudges to increase youth turnout

Open Access•Rustam Romaniuc, Anaclara Guido et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Economic Behavior &…•2025•References: 11

There is a significant gap in turnout between young people and older voters. The failure to instill a voting habit at an early age may have long term consequences in terms of future political participation as well as on other civic behaviors. Using a pre-registered online experiment with 3790 subjects, we implemented behavioral interventions aiming to stimulate youth turnout in the 2022 French presidential election. We rely on an innovative incen…

  • An experimental investigation of social risk preferences for health

    Open Access•Arthur E Attema, Olivier L’haridon et al.•ARTICLE•Theory and Decision•2023

In this paper, we use the risk apportionment technique of Eeckhoudt, Rey and Schlesinger (2007) to study higher order risk preferences for others’ health as well as ex-ante and ex-post inequality preferences for social risky distributions, and their interaction. In an experiment on a sample of university students acting as impartial spectators, we observe risk aversion towards social health losses and a dislike of ex-ante inequality. In addition,…

  • Incidence of PTSD in the French population a month after the Covid-19 pandemic-related lockdown

    Open Access•Caroline Alleaume, Patrick Peretti-Watel et al.•ARTICLE•BMC Public Health•2022

These results should help clinicians to target people who are at high risk of developing PTSD after a pandemic-related lockdown and could benefit from preventive measures. Collaboration between the media and mental health professionals could be envisioned to inform the population about care resources. Follow-up recommendations should also be disseminated to general practitioners to facilitate PTSD screening and ensure that they are aware of the a…

  • Off the Charts

Olivier L’haridon, Ferdinand M Vieider et al.•ARTICLE•The Review of Economics and…•2018

Ambiguity attitudes have been prominently used in economic models, but we still know little about their demographic correlates or their generalizability beyond the West. We analyze the ambiguity attitudes of almost 3,000 students across thirty countries. For gains, we find ambiguity aversion everywhere, while ambiguity aversion is much weaker for losses. Ambiguity attitudes change systematically with probabilities for both gains and losses. Much …

  • Ambiguity Models and the Machina Paradoxes

Aurélien Baillon, Olivier L’haridon et al.•ARTICLE•American Economic Review•2011

Machina (2009) introduced two examples that falsify Choquet expected utility, presently one of the most popular models of ambiguity. This article shows that Machina's examples falsify not only the model mentioned, but also four other popular models for ambiguity of the literature, namely maxmin expected utility, variational preferences, α-maxmin, and the smooth model of ambiguity aversion. Thus, Machina's examples pose a challenge to most of the …

  • Choix individuel et décision fondée sur l'expérience

    Olivier L’haridon, Corina Paraschiv•ARTICLE•Revue économique•2009
