The reconstruction of home/school relations
This article looks at the way the home/school relationship has been restructured by the Portuguese state over the past 25 years. It is argued that, through education policy, this state has attempted to construct the 'responsible parent' on the basis of two forms: the collaborative parent and, more recently, the 'parent as partner'.
