  • International Preferences in Selecting Mates

    Open Access•David M Bu, M Abbott et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Cross-Cultural…•1990•Cited by: 80•References: 10

This study sought to identify the effects of culture and sex on mate preferences using samples drawn world-wide. Thirty-seven samples were obtained from 33 countries located on six continents and five islands (N = 9,474). Hierarchical multiple regressions revealed strong effects of both culture and sex, moderated by specific mate characteristics. Elizabeth E Epstein, Elizabeth Epstein et al.•ARTICLE•Biodemography and Social Biology•1984•Cited by: 2•References: 89

This review presents a comprehensive survey of the literature on mate selection and non‐random mating in man. • The Radex Structure of Intelligence

  • Sex and age differences in pattern organization in a figural-conceptual task

    Ruth Guttman, Irah Kahneman•ARTICLE•Developmental Psychology•1971•Cited by: 2•References: 1

  • Cross‐ethnic variation in dental, sensory and perceptual traits

Open Access•Ruth Guttman, Louis Guttman et al.•ARTICLE•American Journal of Physical…•1967•Cited by: 3•References: 7

The central concern of this paper is to illustrate how four apparently unrelated classes of variables — dental, perceptual, ethnic origin, and other — can be comprehended within a single parsimonious space, even though some of the measures were qualitative, others quantitative. Thirty‐five hundred Israeli villagers of varied ethnic origin were examined on several aspects of oral epidemiology, a battery of tests relating to estimation of number, a…

  • The Oral Epidemiology of Various Ethnic Groups in Selected Rural Communities of Israel

Open Access•Kurt A Rosenzweig, Patricia Smith et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Public Health Dentistry•1966

This anthropological study of the people of biblical lands is interesting in its own right. The Journal also is fortunate, indeed, to be able to publish such a well‐planned study
