The Role of Racial Microaggressions and Bicultural Self-Efficacy on Work Volition in Racially Diverse Adults
We investigated the relationship between racial microaggressions and work volition in a sample of racially diverse adults ( N = 171) in the United States for this online cross-sectional study. This article describes a qualitative study with seven first-generation college graduates who went on to complete graduate school and are now working in colleges and universities as counselors and counselor educators. The findings highlight the resources that these participants possessed that contributed to their college success stories. Counselor Competence, Performance Assessment, and Program Evaluation: Using Psychometric Instruments
Psychometric instruments have been underutilized by counselor educators in performance assessment and program evaluation efforts. As such, we conducted a review of the literature that revealed 41 instruments fit for such efforts. We described and critiqued these instruments along four dimensions—Target Domain, Format, Psychometrics, and Frequency of Use
Liberation‐focused Community Outreach: A Qualitative Exploration of Peer Group Supervision During Disaster Response
While it is clear that community outreach and disaster response must include cultural and social justice competence, there is a dearth of knowledge regarding the process by which this can occur.
