Este artigo busca demonstrar como a restauração arquitetônica das casas bandeiristas teve papel essencial no processo de atribuição de significação simbólica a tais moradias rurais, assim como na construção de um modelo conceitual e técnico de intervenção arquitetônica que definiu a tipologia da casa bandeirista tal como a conhecemos hoje. O artigo abordará as restaurações de cinco casas do acervo municipal, e uma casa de propriedade privada
