Open Access•David Godfrey, Rupert Higham et al.•ARTICLE•The Educational Forum•2026

This article explores how school leadership can effectively respond to the challenges of the Anthropocene—an era defined by environmental and social crises. It presents four key pillars for fostering intelligent, humane leadership, underpinned by pragmatist philosophy combined with Raworth’s doughnut model. These are: bridging ideologies, shared agency, context relevance and intelligent and shared accountability. We invite further thinking and re…

  • Repair, Consumption, and Sustainability

    Open Access•David Godfrey, D Matthew Godfrey et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Consumer Research•2022•Cited by: 8•References: 52

Repair is an overlooked but important aspect of consumer behavior with implications for the social and environmental sustainability of consumption. • The distribution in native populations from Mexico and Central America of the C677T variant in the MTHFR gene

Open Access•Lucio Reyes, David Godfrey et al.•ARTICLE•American Journal of Human Biology•2021

The native people of Central America and Mexico evolved high frequencies of an allele which has been shown to produce deleterious clinical effects including neural tube effects, cardiovascular events, and cancer. This allele has a clinal distribution in the region, perhaps associated with solar irradiation. As (Contreras-Cubas et al., 2016) noted, the traditional diet of these populations, which is high in folate, has likely mitigated the negativ…

  • Prisoners Views of Boards of Visitors a Question of Credibility

CAROL MARTIN, David Godfrey•ARTICLE•The British Journal of Criminology•1994•Cited by: 1

Until 1992 Boards of Visitors of penal institutions acted as quasi-judicial bodies dealing with serious offences against prison discipline, as well as being public ‘watchdogs’ to guard against abuses by the prison authorities, and independent channels for inmates' requests and complaints. The withdrawal of their disciplinary powers was intended to enhance Boards' credibility in their other roles by stressing their independence from the prison aut…
