Interest in student affective and motivational perceptions about learning mathematics is growing. This study examines the factor structure of rankings and ratings of three sets of values to illustrate how counselors can use them in working with female and male adolescent clients. The analyses of gender-related differences in rankings and ratings give counselors both within and between individual perspectives from which to explore the values students consider important in decisions to select an occupation, to marry, and to become a parent

"Reasonableness" of Kois Results for Re-Entry Women: Implications for Test Validity
The purpose of the present study was to investigate the reaction of re-entry women to the KOIS with the view of establishing face validity of its scales. A sample of 56 women participating in a program leading toward entering community college took the KOIS, and upon receipt of their results rated the "reasonableness" of the individual sets of scales.
