Who Benefits From Counseling? A Longitudinal Analysis of Psychological and Academic Distress Among Black and White College Students With Disabilities
This study examined counseling effectiveness for Black college students with disabilities, focusing on psychological and academic distress. Using longitudinal data, results revealed Black clients experienced faster symptom reduction compared to White clients, whereas clients with disabilities exhibited slower improvement in psychological distress.
