‘Just’ cruising in liberal Denmark: Ambiguities at the nexus of queer intimacy and public green area management
Contextualizing consent: Spaces for repression, resistance, and accommodation in Bolivia's Tipnis consultation
The expansion of extractive activities and the development of associated infrastructures are reviving land disputes in the Bolivian lowlands. Consultation based on Free, Prior and Informed Consent (FPIC), which has been a longstanding demand of indigenous peoples, is now being employed in cases of interventions on their lands. This paper chronicles a contested consultation in the Indigenous Territory and National Park Isiboro-Sécure (TIPNIS). The…
Amazonian Erasures: Landscape and Myth-making in Lowland Bolivia

Roskilde Domkirke. Styring af sognekirke og turistattraktion
In 1998 Roskilde Cathedral was admitted to the UNESCO world heritage list. In order to meet the challenges following from this status, the governance network around the church was reorganized in 2013 and a new foundation was established. I examine the reorganization as a token of a potentially new tendency in structuring the functions of such church buildings which are attributed particular status in the realm between the Danish model of religion…
Challenged pragmatism: Conflicts of religion and law in the Danish labour market
Against the backdrop of a well-regulated and pragmatic Danish labour market, the question of reasonable accommodation is discussed on the basis of current legislation, recent legal cases and substantial interview material drawn from the RELIGARE sociolegal research done in Denmark. Employees of religious faith have made religious claims and thereby challenged a secular understanding of the Danish labour market. This raises the question of the ext…
