  • Social Class and Mental Hospitalization Prognosis

    This investigation of the duration of initial hospitalization of a cohort of male schizophrenics is viewed as a partial replication of Hollingshead's New Haven study which revealed that the social class level of the patient is inversely related to the risk of continuous long-term hospitalization. This generalization was confirmed at a highly significant level in the present population. Moreover, additional findings revealed that the relationship …
