  • Language De-socialization: Introducing a New Concept

    Open Access•Michael Erard•ARTICLE•Signs and Society•2025•References: 13

This article presents the theoretical concept of language de-socialization , which refers to processes through which the declining linguistic and interactive capacities of an individual, as well as the loss of personhood as defined in a particular cultural setting, are managed in and through language. The article discusses de-socialization as an extension of a theoretical forebear, language socialization, which has been defined as “how young chil…

  • Taps Responsibility matrix: A tool for responsible data science by design

Open Access•Visara Urovi, Remzi Çelebi et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Responsible Innovation•2024

Data-science is an interdisciplinary research working on data from different fields. When analyzing these data, data scientists implicitly agree to follow the rules governing these fields. Only 16 patients were noted speaking, and only four canonical last words were reported. The most frequent observation by medica…

    Michael Erard, Anne-Hélène Kerbiriou•ARTICLE•Anthropologie et Sociétés•2021•Cited by: 1•References: 19
