  • An ecologically valid examination of event-based and time-based prospective memory using immersive virtual reality

Panagiotis Kourtesis, Simona Collina et al.•ARTICLE•Memory•2021

Recent research has focused on assessing either event- or time-based prospective memory (PM) using laboratory tasks. Yet, the findings pertaining to PM performance on laboratory tasks are often inconsistent with the findings on corresponding naturalistic experiments. Ecologically valid neuropsychological tasks resemble the complexity and cognitive demands of everyday tasks, offer an adequate level of experimental control, and allow a generalisati…

  • Syllabic Effects in Italian Lexical Access

    Open Access•Lara Tagliapietra, R Fanari et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Psycholinguistic…•2009•Cited by: 2•References: 43

Two cross-modal priming experiments tested whether lexical access is constrained by syllabic structure in Italian. Results extend the available Italian data on the processing of stressed syllables showing that syllabic information restricts the set of candidates to those structurally consistent with the intended word (Experiment 1). Lexical access, however, takes place as soon as possible and it is not delayed till the incoming input corresponds …
