    Open Access•Krzysztof M Maj•ARTICLE•Śląskie Studia Polonistyczne•2021

• Ludotopia. O granicy świata gry

    Open Access•Krzysztof M Maj•ARTICLE•Przestrzenie Teorii•2021

The essay presents an overview of the possible meanings and applications of the newly-coined term ‘ludotopia’, i.e. a “dialectical entanglement of game and space” – which challenges the boundaries of two neighbouring worlds: storyworld and gameworld. Open Access•Krzysztof M Maj•ARTICLE•Przestrzenie Teorii•2019•References: 2

The author discusses the phenomenon as emerging on the border between the text-centred poetics of classical narratology and the world-centred poetics of postclassical narratology by use of Jan-Noël Thon’s and Marie-Laure Ryan’s project of “media-consciou…

    Open Access•Krzysztof M Maj•ARTICLE•Teksty Drugie•2017

Artykuł przedstawia w dużym zarysie najważniejsze koncepcje postklasycznej (kognitywnej i transmedialnej) teorii narracji (przede wszystkim storyworld) celem zrehabilitowania kategorii fikcji i fikcyjnego świata w badaniach nad grami wideo. Włączeniu w obszar refleksji groznawczej zagadnienia reprezentacji, mimetyczności, wiarygodności przedstawienia czy imersywności odbioru towarzyszy równocześnie dyskusja wokół pojęcia „światowości świata” Lisb…

    Krzysztof M Maj•ARTICLE•Utopian Studies•2016

Artur Blaim's Gazing in Useless Wonder. English Utopian Fictions 1516-1800, the thirteenth volume of the esteemed Ralahine Utopian Studies series, has already received praises as a must-read monograph from such renowned utopian scholars as Lyman Tower Sargent and Gregory Claeys-and indeed it challenges anyone who would dare state otherwise. And even though such flawless pieces of research are not that common, Blaim's book definitely has the poten…
