    No presente estudo, buscou-se identificar e comparar as características das mulheres vivendo (MVHA) e não vivendo com HIV/aids (MNVHA) que declararam ter realizado aborto alguma vez na vida. Entre novembro de 2003 e dezembro de 2004, estudo de corte transversal foi conduzido com 1.777 MVHA e 2.045 MNVHA em treze municípios brasileiros.
