Religious Prejudice and Intended Voting Behavior
A typology of religious prejudice is developed which differentiates prejudice based on ignorance or psychological abnormality and prejudice based on a conflict of values, and the extent to which each influences actual behavior. The typology is used to analyze the attitudes of young adult non-Catholics toward Catholics and Catholicism and the relationship of these attitudes to intended voting behavior.
