Spirituality and Religion in the Lives of Runaway and Homeless Youth: Coping with Adversity
This qualitative study, part of a larger study of resiliency, explores the impact of spirituality on runaway and/or homeless youth. Spatial Components in the Use of Count Nouns Among English Speakers and Japanese Speakers of English as a Second Language
We asked 40 English speakers and 40 Japanese speakers of English as a second language (ESL) to select a singular form or plural form of a noun in a certain linguistic context (e.g., a bag of apple or apples) involving containers and food. Extreme illness exaggeration in pediatric patients: A variant of Munchausen’s by Proxy
Reported cases of Munchausen by Proxy Syndrome in children suggest common psychosocial features for child and family. The possibility is explored that these same features are also present in a subgroup of children with documented, but very mild, illness. Suggestions for the diagnosis and management of this problem are offered, emphasizing a multidisciplinary team approach
