    Two three‐stage cluster surveys were conducted in South Dade County, Florida, 14 months apart, to assess recovery following Hurricane Andrew. Response rates were 75 per cent and 84 per cent. Sources of assistance used in recovery from Hurricane Andrew differed according to race, per capita income, ethnicity, and education.     In November 1981, an outbreak of waterborne giardiasis occurred at a popular ski resort in Colorado.
