Prevalence and Predictors of Osteoporosis and Osteopenia in Postmenopausal Women of Punjab, India
The prevalence and predictors of osteoporosis and osteopenia remain to be examined in the postmenopausal women of Punjab, India. The present cross-sectional study screened 1628 postmenopausal women during September 2019 to March 2020. Osteoporosis and osteopenia were confirmed on the basis of T-scores using dual energy X-ray absorptiometry (DXA) at the hip (femoral neck) and lumbar spine regions (L1−L4 vertebrae). The prevalence of osteoporosis a…

The sample was divided into five groups on the basis of their support for or against the death penalty. In terms of Festinger's theory of dissonance, Abolitionists and Near-retentionists were the two most consistent groups. The opinion of these two groups seemed to be base…

It is a paper-and-pencil in which respondents are required to make true/false responses to statements. S…
Structure of Social Attitudes
215 of 500 Canadians randomly selected from the federal electoral lists responded to the revised Eysenck Social Attitude Questionnaire in a public opinion survey. Factor analysis of the responses indicated the existence of two factors corresponding closely with the Radicalism and Toughmindedness dimensions of Eysenck. The findings also lend support to Eysenck's contention of similarity of social attitudes in western industrial societies
Note on Rape and Social Structure
Spin-transfer-torque magnetic RAM (STT-MRAM) is one of the most promising emerging memory technologies. As various manufacturing vendors make significant efforts to push it to the market, appropriate STT-MRAM testing is of great importance. In this paper, we demonstrate that conventional STT-MRAM defect modeling, which is based on linear resistors, is too pessimistic in representing the real nature of physical defects. It may result in incorrect …

This study is an attempt to assess the adequacy of action participation as a measure of community leadership. The study is based on data from two small villages in Northwest India, similar in size, general culture, and caste structure, but constituting polar types on selected development criteria. Leaders were delineated by using an action approach and ranked according to the action-participation scores assigned each leader for involvement in var…
