    Open Access•Martin Grosse•ARTICLE•Soziale Passagen•2025

    Open Access•Clarissa Schär, Julia Ganterer et al.•BOOK•Erfahren – Widerfahren – Verfahren•2021

  • Psychometric CHaracteristics of Scores on a Patient Management Problem Test

Open Access•Martin Grosse, Martin E Grosse et al.•ARTICLE•Educational and Psychological…•1988

Total scores on a patient management problem (PMP) test can be divided into two subscores-one based on all options keyed select; the other, on all options keyed omit. A pervasive feature of the component scores, across a variety of examinations studied, is that they are correlated negatively. This negative correlation is reflected in reduced discrimination indices and reliability for the total test scores. The implications of this finding for pre…

  • Validity and Reliability of True-False Tests

Open Access•Martin Grosse, Martin E Grosse et al.•ARTICLE•Educational and Psychological…•1985

A model of examinee behavior based on knowledge and random guessing is used to generate hypotheses about how true-false scores work. Although others have expressed reservations about the simplicity and utility of such a model, it leads to informative ideas. The confirmation of six hypotheses forms a network of support for the contention that true-false scores contain an error component (due to guessing) that makes these scores less reliable than …

  • Cultural Patterning of Sexual Beliefs and Behavior

Open Access•Leigh Minturn, Martin Grosse et al.•ARTICLE•Ethnology•1969•Cited by: 26

The amount of variation in types of sexual behavior in humans is greater than that surrounding any other biological drive. This is true not only of frequency of sexual behavior (Kinsey 1948), but of the kinds of behavior which are permitted or condemned by various societies. Ford and Beach (1951) have documented the cultural variation of a number of sex practices, but they offer no explanation for the observed cultural differences. This study is …
