  • A double‐edged tool’

Open Access•Olatunji David Adekoya, Hakeem Adeniyi Ajonbadi et al.•ARTICLE•British Educational Research…•2026•Referencias: 80

The integration of generative artificial intelligence (generative AI) in higher education is reshaping student engagement, yet its impact on postgraduate international students remains underexplored. This study examines how generative AI shapes postgraduate international students' engagement through a psychological needs perspective. Drawing on qualitative interviews with 27 participants, this research explores how generative AI facilitates auton…

  • Growing closer

Open Access•Hoang Nguyen, Cassandra Thomson et al.•ARTICLE•Wellbeing Space and Society•2025

Nature connection supports dementia wellbeing in multifarious ways • Complex intersecting conditions influence individuals’ connection with nature • A relational and enablement approach mitigates barriers and meets needs • Pronounced impacts are of great value and significance for individuals and society • An evidence-based theoretical framework is provided to guide nature connection While the benefits of nature connection for people with dementi…

  • Linguistic Analyses of Written Corrective Feedback for Chinese as a Second Language

Open Access•Ling Zhang, Jingjing Xu et al.•ARTICLE•International Journal of Applied…•2025•Referencias: 1

This study conducted linguistic analyses of the written corrective feedback (WCF) for Chinese as a second language (CSL) provided by chat generative pre‐trained transformer (ChatGPT) and human teachers (including preservice teachers and senior teachers). An assessment framework was proposed, composed of two main domains of ‘language accuracy’ and ‘content expressivity’, which have further sub‐indices associated with measurable linguistic paramete…

  • Understanding international students' agency in developing employability

Open Access•Hoang Nguyen, Hoang Viet Nguyen et al.•ARTICLE•British Educational Research…•2025•Referencias: 43

Employability remains a critical issue for international students in the United Kingdom. This study adopts the Employability Agency Framework proposed by Pham et al. to explore how a group of international students actively exercised their agency to enhance their employability during their Master's studies in the United Kingdom. A post‐1992 university, which prioritises vocational training and graduate employability, was selected for the study. U…

  • Key determinants of online impulse buying behavior

Open Access•Thi Thuy An Ngo, Hoang Lan Thanh Nguyen et al.•ARTICLE•Acta Psychologica•2025•Citada por: 1•Referencias: 4

This study focused on TikTok Shop to examine how factors such as time pressure, quantity pressure, economic benefit, social influence, entertainment experience, and information usefulness influence online impulse buying behavior, both directly and through emotional factors like arousal. Financial capacity was tested as a moderating variable in the relationship between emotional factors and impulsive buying behavior, while demographic variables su…

  • Modelling Okun’s law

Open Access•Tamas Kiss, Hoang Nguyen et al.•ARTICLE•Empirical Economics•2023

In this paper, we analyse Okun’s law—a relation between the change in the unemployment rate and GDP growth—using data from Australia, the euro area, the UK and the USA. More specifically, we assess the relevance of non-Gaussianity when modelling the relation. This is done in a Bayesian VAR framework with stochastic volatility where we allow the different models’ error distributions to have heavier-than-Gaussian tails and skewness. Our results ind…

  • Elevated congenital heart disease birth prevalence rates found in Central Vietnam and dioxin TCDD residuals from the use of 2, 4, 5-T herbicides (Agent Orange) in the Da Nang region

Open Access•Hoang Thi Nam Giang, Tran Thanh Hai et al.•ARTICLE•PLOS Global Public Health•2022

Congenital heart disease (CHD) birth prevalence rate in Da Nang City and two adjacent provinces in Central Vietnam reported by Giang et al. in 2019 was 20.09/1000 births, much higher than any CHD birth rates previously reported. In this current study, three physicians trained in pediatric cardiology reanalyzed and reclassified the Giang et al 2019 cardiac anomalies data, eliminating singular small PDAs and separating cardiac defects into 27 conte…

  • Exchange rate pass-through and its heterogeneity under the pegged regime

The Anh Pham, Hoang Nguyen et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of the Asia Pacific Economy•2022•Referencias: 2

This paper analyses the exchange rate pass-through effects (ERPT) into consumer prices in Vietnam with a pegged regime during 2001–2019 using a structural vector autoregressive approach. The model is identified based on the fit of data rather than a priori theorizing. Firstly, we find that the degree of ERPT in the country is higher than that in other emerging and developed economies. High and volatile inflation, a high degree of openness, and ex…

  • Daily Water Level Prediction of Zrebar Lake (Iran)

Open Access•Viet‐Ha Nhu, Himan Shahabi et al.•ARTICLE•ISPRS International Journal of…•2020

Zrebar Lake is one of the largest freshwater lakes in Iran and it plays an important role in the ecosystem of the environment, while its desiccation has a negative impact on the surrounded ecosystem. Despite this, this lake provides an interesting recreation setting in terms of ecotourism. The prediction and forecasting of the water level of the lake through simple but practical methods can provide a reliable tool for future lake water resource m…

  • What is a Good Journal? Perceptions of Vietnamese Early-Career and Mid-Career Researchers

  • Landslide Susceptibility Mapping Using Machine Learning Algorithms and Remote Sensing Data in a Tropical Environment

Open Access•Viet‐Ha Nhu, Ayub Mohammadi et al.•ARTICLE•International Journal of…•2020

We used AdaBoost (AB), alternating decision tree (ADTree), and their combination as an ensemble model (AB-ADTree) to spatially predict landslides in the Cameron Highlands, Malaysia. The models were trained with a database of 152 landslides compiled using Synthetic Aperture Radar Interferometry, Google Earth images, and field surveys, and 17 conditioning factors (slope, aspect, elevation, distance to road, distance to river, proximity to fault, ro…

  • Monitoring and Assessment of Water Level Fluctuations of the Lake Urmia and Its Environmental Consequences Using Multitemporal Landsat 7 ETM+ Images

Open Access•Viet‐Ha Nhu, Ayub Mohammadi et al.•ARTICLE•International Journal of…•2020

The declining water level in Lake Urmia has become a significant issue for Iranian policy and decision makers. This lake has been experiencing an abrupt decrease in water level and is at real risk of becoming a complete saline land. Because of its position, assessment of changes in the Lake Urmia is essential. This study aims to evaluate changes in the water level of Lake Urmia using the space-borne remote sensing and GIS techniques. Therefore, m…

  • Occupational Self-Efficacy and Psychological Capital Amongst Nursing Students

Open Access•David Terry, Blake Peck et al.•ARTICLE•European Journal of Investigation…•2019

With a predicted shortfall in the worldwide nursing workforce, efforts to understand attributes that influence attrition and workforce longevity remain fundamental. Self-efficacy and the broader construct of psychological capital have been linked to positive workplace-based attributes in occupations. The aim of the study was to examine the relationship between general self-efficacy, occupational (nursing) self-efficacy, and psychological capital …

A study was conducted to identify the challenges members of the Deaf community experience accessing quality health care in a small Island state of Australia. Using a qualitative approach, semi-structured intervi…
