This study tested propositions from Florkowski's (1987) profit-sharing model based on the responses of 160 individuals. As predicted, performance-reward contingencies and pay equity were significant determinants of plan support. A decade's experience with the Scanlon Plan: A case study
This field study examined the operation and impact of the Scanlon Plan at a large manufacturing facility. An interrupted time‐series research design, augmented by extensive qualitative data analysis was used to analyse the productivity and employment experience over a nine‐year period. An Empirical Assessment of the Age Discrimination in Employment Act
This paper presents the results of a content analysis of 153 federal court cases in which complainants charged a violation of the Age Discrimination in Employment Act. The results show that 57 percent of the cases were brought on behalf of white men in professional and managerial occupations; employers won nearly two of every three cases; women were more successful plaintiffs than men; more cases originated in the South than in any other region; …

This article discusses the application of content analysis to judicial decisions. A methodology is presented for analyzing Age Discrimination in Employment Act decisions in the federal courts.
