  • Perspective taking shapes creative performance in human-AI collaboration

Man Zhang, Yang Peng et al.•ARTICLE•Acta Psychologica Sinica•2026

This study aimed to investigate the impact of a diversified training framework on work-related stress, depressive emotions, and anxious emotions among this population. METHODS: A total of 241 nurses with less than three years of experience were stratified by work experience and randomly assign…

  • Spatiotemporal Evolution of Agricultural Land Systems in the North China Plain Over Two Decades (2002–2022)

Open Access•Maoyuan Sun, Dengpan Xiao et al.•ARTICLE•Land Degradation and Development•2026

Understanding agricultural land systems transformation is vital for food security, ecology, and rural development. This study analyzes spatiotemporal dynamics in the North China Plain (2002–2022), integrating environmental constraints, economic incentives, and policy interventions. By fusing MODIS (250 m) and Landsat (30 m) data via random forest, we generated high‐accuracy crop distribution maps for 4 years (2002, 2012, 2017, 2022), enhancing re…

  • How We Imagine Poetic Constructions

Man Zhang, Guanxiong Liu et al.•ARTICLE•Creativity Research Journal•2026

Poetry is one of the most imaginative and creative expressions of language, but how we imagine and generate poetic scenes and events is not yet empirically studied. The present study investigated the role of episodic simulation – the ability to flexibly recombine details to construct new scenes and events – on a poetry composition task. In Experiment 1 and Experiment 2, episodic specificity induction (ESI) and imagination specificity induction we…

Phenological cold/warm events recorded in Chinese historical documents are used to reconstruct, at 10–30 years' resolution, winter half-year (October to April) temperatures for the past 2000 years in the central region of eastern China. Because of the uneven spatial and temporal distribution of the phenological records, the reconstruction of the regional mean temperature involves two steps: reconstruction for individual sites within the region an…

The early presence of crops from East Asia and Southwest Asia in the Inner Asian Mountain Corridor (IAMC) has drawn attention to the Bronze Age mountain archaeology of Central Asia. Namely, the Bronze Age diffusion and utilization of grains in this region remains unknown as contrasts and extremes characterize the territory in environmental terms, especially elevation. Researchers continue to reflect on how, during the second millennium BC, Bronze…

Open Access•Xuedong Yan, Fan Zhang et al.•ARTICLE•International Journal of…•2012

Transportation activities can contribute to accumulation of heavy metals in roadside soil and grass, which could potentially compromise public health and the environment if the roadways cross farmland areas. Particularly, heavy metals may enter the food chain as a result of their uptake by roadside edible grasses. This research was conducted to investigate heavy metal (Cu, Zn, Cd, and Pb) concentrations in roadside farmland soils and correspondin…

Concentrations of four typical heavy metals (Cu; Zn; Cd and Pb) in roadside soils close to three lakes in the Tibetan Plateau were investigated in this study. The hierarchical tree-based regression method was applied to classify concentrations of the heavy metals and analyze their potential influencing factors. It was found that the Tibetan Plateau meadow soils with higher content of sand lead to higher concentrations of Cu; Zn and Pb. The concen…
