Open Access•Chunhua Xia, Bin Fang et al.•ARTICLE•Land Degradation and Development•2026

The relationship between cultivated landscape multifunctionality (CLM) and ecological security (ES) is crucial for achieving synergy between function enhancement and the maintenance of ES in main grain‐producing areas. However, studies have rarely integrated CLM and ES within a unified analytical framework, and grid‐scale on their coevolution and driving factors in main grain‐producing areas remained limited. This study focused on the Tongshan Di…

  • Trade Circumvention in China's Anti‐Dumping Measures Against the U.S

Open Access•Huimin Shi, Kaili Zhang et al.•ARTICLE•World Economy•2026

This paper investigates whether and how U.S. exporters circumvent China's anti‐dumping (AD) measures by re‐routing trade through third countries. Using detailed data on AD cases and monthly trade flows of China and U.S. from 2002 to 2011, we apply a triple‐differences (DDD) approach to identify abnormal trade‐flow adjustments consistent with third‐country re‐routing. We find evidence of such patterns in a subset of cases following final AD ruling…

    Open Access•Yilong Yang, Kaili Zhang•ARTICLE•International Journal of Applied…•2026•References: 6

Second language willingness to communicate (L2 WTC) is crucial for language learning, as it directly influences learners’ engagement and communication. While classroom environments are key to promoting L2 WTC, research has often focused on its social aspects, neglecting motivational factors like classroom mastery goal structure (CMGS), which emphasizes personal growth over competition. Based on Self‐Determination Theory, the present study investi…

  • When Interdependence Backfires: The Coronavirus Infected Three Times More People in Rice-Farming Areas During Chinese New Year

Open Access•Xindong Wei, Thomas Talhelm et al.•ARTICLE•Personality and Social Psychology…•2024

Interdependent cultures around the world have generally controlled COVID-19 better. We tested this pattern in China based on the rice theory, which argues that historically rice-farming regions of China are more interdependent than wheat-farming areas. Unlike earlier findings, rice-farming areas suffered more COVID-19 cases in the early days of the outbreak. We suspected this happened because the outbreak fell on Chinese New Year, and people in r…

In addition, the geographic detectors and a multi-scale geographic weighted regression model (MGW…

    Kaili Zhang•ARTICLE•International Journal of Children…•2012
