  • The biological bases of attachment

    Open Access•Paula Oliveira, Paula S Oliveira et al.•ARTICLE•Adoption & Fostering•2019•Cited by: 1•References: 8

From its origins, human attachment has always been viewed as a primary, biologically-based phenomenon with strong evolutionary roots. The last few decades have seen a large increase in research studies from developmental science and neighbouring disciplines that attest the role of biology in attachment processes. This review aims to provide a concise and up-to-date summary of research on the biological bases of attachment throughout the lifespan.…

  • Refugiados LGBTI: Gênero E Sexualidade Na Articulação Com Refúgio No Contexto Internacional De Direitos

Open Access•Isadora Lins França, Isadora França et al.•ARTICLE•TRAVESSIA - revista do migrante•2016•Cited by: 3

  • A predictive modelling tool for assessing climate, land use and hydrological change on reservoir physicochemical and biological properties

Open Access•Samantha Jane Hughes, Edna Cabecinha et al.•ARTICLE•Area•2012•Cited by: 3•References: 40

Reservoirs are fundamental for water and energy supply but vulnerable to impacts including climate change. This paper outlines the steps in the development of a model to predict how climate, land use and hydrological change could affect the physiochemical and ecological quality of reservoirs in P ortugal's D ouro region. Climatic data will be downscaled for subsequent finer spatial scale models to develop scenarios and outputs. Field observations…

  • Interrelationships of Adult Attachment Orientations, Health Status and Worrying among Fibromyalgia Patients

    Open Access•Paula Oliveira, Maria Emilía Costa•ARTICLE•Journal of Health Psychology•2009•Cited by: 2•References: 33

This study examined associations between adult attachment dimensions, perceived health status and worrying (coping strategy with chronic pain), and explored whether worrying mediated observed relationships between attachment dimensions and health outcomes within a sample of 128 Portuguese female fibromyalgia patients. Physical health status was inversely correlated with dependence and worrying; mental health status was positively correlated with …
