    Open Access•Sara Diamond•ARTICLE•Digital humanities quarterly•2023

This essay considers two archives and their traces: the Banff New Media Institute (BNMI) and the Daniel Langlois Foundation (DLF). • Degrees of Freedom

    Sara Diamond•ARTICLE•Leonardo•2005

  • Bridges I

Celia Pearce, Sara Diamond et al.•ARTICLE•Leonardo•2003

Today, a worldwide community of innovators is engaged in the convergence of art, technology and science, as are a number of vital and active organizations, yet there seems to be very little discourse about the process of doing interdisciplinary work. The BRIDGES Consortium seeks to create a collaborative forum for the study and development of interdisciplinary collaboration as a practice. At the first Bridges Summit, held in June 2001, participan…

  • Not by politics alone

    Sara Diamond•BOOK•Not by politics alone•1998

"Examining how conservative evangelical groups have maintained their influence in the United States for more than two decades, Diamond shows that these groups have drawn much of their strength from a broad and loosely affiliated web of cultural institutions designed to meet their adherents' personal, as well as ideological, needs. The book offers an illuminating perspective on the nationwide proliferation of evangelical talk radio programs, publi…

    Open Access•Val Burris, Sara Diamond•ARTICLE•Critical Sociology•1991•Cited by: 2•References: 11

ASA President James Coleman has joined the National Association of Scholars (NAS) in its campaign against 'political correctness' in academia. In this article we examine the origins of the NAS, its sources of funding, and the nature of its activities. We show that the NAS is part of a broader 'neoconservative' network and argue that the organization, despite its deceptive rhetoric, poses a serious threat to academic freedom
