An Improved Random Walk Restart Algorithm for Multisimilarity Enhanced Academic Recommendation Systems
In the academic research field, identifying suitable collaboration partners and selecting appropriate journals for publication remain significant challenges for researchers. Existing academic recommendation systems often fail to provide personalized, accurate, and efficient recommendations. To address these issues, this article proposes an innovative academic recommendation system that incorporates multisimilarity features. By constructing an aca…
Charting brain functional development from birth to 6 years of age
Early childhood is crucial for brain functional development. Using advanced neuroimaging methods, characterizing functional connectivity has shed light on the developmental process in infants. However, insights into spatiotemporal functional maturation from birth to early childhood are substantially lacking. In this study, we aggregated 1,091 resting-state functional MRI scans of typically developing children from birth to 6 years of age, harmoni…
Philosophy of Light
Zhang Zai's "qi-based learning" contains extensive discussions on the concept of brightness (ming 明). By incorporating the core insights from the German translation of Zhengmeng (正蒙), this paper emphasizes the crucial role of light in understanding Zhang Zai's thought and aims to interpret it as a philosophy of light. From an epistemological standpoint, Zhang Zai links qi closely with light, framing his philosophy as a doctrine of manifestation. …
A Comparison of Statistical Methods to Construct Confidence Intervals and Fiducial Intervals for Measures of Health Disparities
Health disparities are differences in health status across different socioeconomic groups. Classical methods, e.g., the Delta method, have been used to estimate the standard errors of estimated measures of health disparities and to construct confidence intervals for these measures. However, the confidence intervals constructed using the classical methods do not have good coverage properties for situations involving sparse data. In this article, w…
Prevalence and risk factors of occupational neck pain in Chinese male fighter pilots
Background Neck pain (NP) is a common musculoskeletal disorder among fighter pilots and has become a rising concern due to its detrimental impact on military combat effectiveness. The occurrence of NP is influenced by a variety of factors, but less attention has been paid to the association of NP with demographic, occupational, and cervical sagittal characteristics in this group. This study aimed to investigate the prevalence and risk factors of …

Analysing the Effect of Energy Intensity on Carbon Emission Reduction in Beijing
Beijing has experienced rapid economic development since the reforms and opening up. However, the traditional development model based on excessive energy consumption has posed great challenges to the ecological environment. To curb environmental degradation and achieve sustainable social development, Beijing has proposed to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050. As an important indicator of energy consumption, it is necessary to clarify how energy in…
Why Does Classroom-Level Victimization Moderate the Association Between Victimization and Depressive Symptoms? The “Healthy Context Paradox” and Two Explanations
The present longitudinal study examined how and why classroom-level victimization moderates the prospective association between peer victimization and depressive symptoms with 2,643 third- and fourth-graders (Mage = 10.01 years) in China. Multilevel modeling revealed that peer victimization was more strongly associated with increasing depressive symptoms in classrooms with lower classroom-level victimization. Moreover, two mechanisms were identif…

Effect of Different Pollution Parameters and Chemical Components of PM2.5 on Health of Residents of Xinxiang City, China
The present study was planned to explore the pollution characteristics, health risks, and influence of atmospheric fine particulate matter (PM 2.5 ) and its components on blood routine parameters in a typical industrial city (Xinxiang City) in China. In this study, 102 effective samples 28 (April-May), 19 (July-August), 27 (September-October), 28 (December-January) of PM 2.5 were collected during different seasons from 2017 to 2018. The water-sol…

Effects of spatial distance on visual working memory consolidation
