Farm Size and Productivity
We draw a theoretical model to demonstrate that small farms achieve lower total factor productivity (TFP) compared with large farms, even though the yield of small farms may be higher. We argue that taking into account family labor modifies the farm size-productivity relationship. We test our hypotheses using geocoded data from 5,645 agriculture farms in Pakistan combined with remote-sensing data to account for farm-specific topographic features.…

This article locates the reorganization of work relations in the apparel sector in Pakistan, after the end of the Multi-Fibre Arrangement (MFA) quota regime, within the context of a global production network (GPN). Nutritional evaluation of selected meat based Saudi Arabian dishes
Fourteen popular Saudi Arabian dishes containing a significant amount of animal protein (meat, fish, egg) were investigated. On a fresh weight basis, the dishes contained 46.6–82.6% moisture, 3.6–9.4% protein (N × 6.25), 0.7–14.7% fat, 0.1–1.1% crude fiber, 0.8–2.4% ash, 3.9–40.9% nitrogen free extract and 82–236 Cals 0.34–0.99 Mj) per 100 g food. Six Saudi Arabian dishes based on cereals or legumes were analyzed for nine mineral elements and vitamins.
