  • A latent profile analysis of health behaviors among rural patients with ischemic stroke in China

Open Access•Yao Li, X Fang et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Public Health•2026

Background Health behaviors are critical determinants of stroke recurrence risk and long-term clinical outcomes in patients with chronic diseases. For rural patients with ischemic stroke (IS) in China, understanding the heterogeneity of these behaviors is essential for developing targeted interventions to improve both behavioral adherence and subsequent quality of life. Methods This cross-sectional study used convenience sampling to recruit 378 r…

  • Dandelion (Taraxacum mongolicum Hand. -Mazz.) extract inhibits triple-negative breast cancer by inducing ferroptosis via NCOA4-mediated ferritinophagy

Open Access•Zhengwang Guo, Huifeng Hao et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Ethnopharmacology•2026

  • “Low Carbon City-Green Transportation” Policy Synergy and Pollution Reduction and Carbon Emission Reduction—Based on DID Model

Open Access•Dan Xie, Dong Xue et al.•ARTICLE•SAGE Open•2025

This study employs a multi-period DID model based on Chinese urban panel data from 2006 to 2022. It innovatively constructs a theoretical analytical framework for the “local-global” environmental regulation policy combination between urban development units and overall development, exploring the synergistic pollution reduction and carbon emission reduction effects of LCCPP and the NEVPAS. This framework reveals the “theoretical black box” of how …

  • The Impact of the Imbalance in China’s Digital Economy on Carbon Emissions

Open Access•Tongyang Liu, Xiaoyawen Han et al.•ARTICLE•SAGE Open•2025

The imbalance in China’s digital economy is undeniable, making its analysis and impact on carbon emissions highly significant. Using unbalanced panel data from 256 prefecture-level cities in China between 2011 and 2019, this study measures the Gini coefficient of digital economy development in China. It explores the effects and transmission mechanisms of this imbalance on carbon emissions. The empirical results show that: (1) The imbalance in the…

  • Dandelion extract suppresses the stem-like properties of triple-negative breast cancer cells by regulating Cuedc2/β-catenin/OCT4 signaling axis

Open Access•Xinxin Deng, Yanna Jiao et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Ethnopharmacology•2025

  • Internet Usage, Government Trust, and Participation of Informal Workers in Employee Public Pension Scheme

Open Access•Tongyang Liu, Maishou Li et al.•ARTICLE•SAGE Open•2024

Incorporating more informal workers into the employee public pension scheme (EPPS) is a crucial component of building a high-quality employment security system in China. This study, based on data from the China Family Panel Studies (CFPS) for the years 2014, 2016, and 2018, empirically analyzes the impact of Internet usage on the participation of informal workers in the EPPS. The research finds that informal workers significantly increase the pos…

  • Arima model for predicting chronic kidney disease and estimating its economic burden in China

Open Access•Yining Jian, Di Zhu et al.•ARTICLE•BMC Public Health•2022

The number of patients with CKD and the economic burden of CKD will continue to rise in China. The number of patients with CKD in China would increase by 2.6 million (1.6%) per year on average from 2020 to 2025. Meanwhile, the total economic burden of CKD in China would increase by an average of $3.1 billion per year. The ARIMA model is applicable to predict the number of patients with CKD. This study provides a new perspective for more comprehen…

  • Taraxacum mongolicum extract inhibited malignant phenotype of triple-negative breast cancer cells in tumor-associated macrophages microenvironment through suppressing IL-10 / STAT3 / PD-L1 signaling p…

Open Access•Xin-Xin Deng, Xinxin Deng et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Ethnopharmacology•2021

Dandelion extract inhibited the proliferation, migration and invasion of TNBC cells in TAMs microenvironment through suppressing IL-10/STAT3/PD-L1 immunosuppressive signaling pathway. Furthermore, dandelion extract promoted the polarization of macrophages from M2 to M1 phenotype. Thus, our results indicated that dandelion may serve as a promising therapeutic strategy for TNBC by modulating tumor immune microenvironment
