The Relation of Acceptance-Rejection to Social Schemata and Kinetic Family Drawings
One hundred and forty-nine 5th-grade boys and girls were administered a set of social schemata figures, including both dyad and family configurations in a variation of Kuethe's Felt Figure Replacement Technique. They were also asked to draw a Kinetic Family Drawing. The hypothesis that accepted children will place and draw themselves closer to other figures than will rejected children was not supported. The data did, however, indicate that accept…
The Felt Figure Test on Measures of Distance and Height in Israeli Children
A modified version of Kuethe's technique, measuring distances between figures and heights of figures, was employed to study the social schemata of 128 Israeli fifth-graders, 65 boys and 63 girls. Each subject was asked to place a self-figure, plus a fat her figure, or a mother figure, or all three figures, or a friend figure – four separate placements in all – on a sheet of paper. The subject was instructed to choose from three figures of differi…
Social Schemata of Children, Peer Acceptance, and Home or Dormitory Residence
A modified version of Kuethe's technique was administered to 48 seventh-grade normal boys. 27 of the subjects were dormitory residents, the remaining 21 lived at home. Contrary to expectation a positive correlation was found for peer acceptance and distance between figures. There were no significant differences between the accepted and nonaccepted groups or between home and dormitory residents. Boy-boy figures were placed closer to one another th…
Fantasy as a medium for the reduction of trait versus state aggression

A daydreaming questionnaire and the Self-focus Sentence Completion were administered to 45 Israeli college freshmen and sophomores. The hypotheses were not confirmed. The data were discussed in terms of the traits measured by the test. The similarity between the test profiles of these subjects and those of a homosexual grou…
