  • The relationship between parental technoference and malevolent creative behavior among adolescents: The mediating role of phubbing and the moderating role of mindfulness

    Open Access•Junyi Yang, X D Yu et al.•ARTICLE•BMC Psychology•2026

The higher parental technoference, the higher level of phubbing, which in turn boosted the tendency of malevolent creative behavior. This indirect relationship was moderated by mindfulness, such that individuals with higher levels of mindfulness were more effective in buffering the adverse effects of phubbing arising from parental technoference, while also demonstrating an increased tendency toward malevolent creative behavior as a consequence of…

  • The impact of task-irrelevant reward on object-based attentional selection in conflict contexts

  • Bullying Victimization and Malevolent Creativity in Rural Adolescents: The Longitudinal Mediational Role of Hostile Attribution

Open Access•Dandan Tong, Yanan Shi et al.•ARTICLE•Cyberpsychology Behavior and…•2024

Extensive research has documented bully victimization as a pivotal risk factor contributing to aggressive behaviors among adolescents. Particularly, the negative outcome of increased aggressive behaviors may be exacerbated when the aggressive actions are novel and difficult to detect. The present study aims to explore the complex relationships between cyberbullying and school bullying victimization and malevolent creativity and the potential medi…

  • Creative thinking and executive functions: Associations and training effects in adolescents

Xin Zhao, Wenyan Zhang et al.•ARTICLE•Psychology of Aesthetics…•2023

Previous research on the association between executive functions and creativity has revealed mixed results. Here, we examined which of three components of executive functioning, working memory (WM) updating, inhibition, and shifting ability, is most strongly associated with which aspect of creative thinking in a group of young adolescents. Moreover, we assessed the effects of specifically training that function on various measures of creative thi…

  • Working Memory and Creativity: A Bibliometric Analysis Using VOSviewer

Open Access•Peng Lü, Ruolin Zhang et al.•ARTICLE•Social Behavior and Personality…•2023

To provide researchers with a systematic reference on initial contact with working memory and creativity, we elucidated an essential bibliometric analysis of publications based on the Web of Science database. Results were as follows: (a) Related research started in 2003 and entered a period of rapid development since 2013, with more than 20 articles published annually; (b) Roger E. Beaty and Benedek Mathias had the most publications, while Ryuta …

  • An fMRI Study for Problem-Finding in Scientific Inventional Situation: An fMRI Study for Problem-Finding in Scientific Inventional Situation

Dandan Tong, Tianen DAI et al.•ARTICLE•Acta Psychologica Sinica•2013
