  • Association of exposure to PM2.5-bound metals with premature rupture of membranes

Open Access•Mengdan Liang, Liping Qiu et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Public Health•2025

Background Exposure to PM 2.5 has been linked to premature rupture of membranes (PROM). However, research on the effects of PM 2.5 -bound metals on the PROM is limited. Methods Here, we investigated this relationship using data from 6090 pregnant women, estimating exposure to 11 PM 2.5 -bound metals throughout pregnancy. Cox models assessed associations between individual metals and PROM, while grouped weighted quantile sum regression (GWQS), qua…

  • What social factors influence learners' continuous intention in online learning? A social presence perspective

Open Access•Qian Guo, Qingfeng Zeng et al.•ARTICLE•Information Technology and People•2023

Purpose The perception of an inferior learning experience is the main challenge for online learning, which leads to higher dropout rates in online courses. The purpose of this paper focuses on investigating how the multi-dimensional construct of social presence would affect the behavior of online learners. Design/methodology/approach A conceptual model that describes online learner behaviors is proposed by including the four social presence varia…

  • Effects of Variation in Tamarix chinensis Plantations on Soil Microbial Community Composition in the Middle Yellow River Floodplain

Open Access•Xinyu Yan, Lanlan Zhang et al.•ARTICLE•International Journal of…•2023

Floodplains have important ecological and hydrological functions in terrestrial ecosystems, experience severe soil erosion, and are vulnerable to losing soil fertility. Tamarix chinensis Lour. plantation is the main vegetation restoration measure for maintaining soil quality in floodplains. Soil microorganisms are essential for driving biogeochemical cycling processes. However, the effects of sampling location and shrub patch size on soil microbi…

  • The Role of Cluster Nursing Methods Following Laparoscopic Partial Nephrectomy

Open Access•Li Zou, Weihong Wang et al.•ARTICLE•American Journal of Health Behavior•2023

Objective : Laparoscopic partial nephrectomy has become an important treatment method for patients with limited renal tumors; however, its most common complication is postoperative bleeding and, until now, little has been known about the use of enhanced recovery after surgery following the use of laparoscopic partial nephrectomy for kidney tumors in China. In the present study, we assessed the efficacy of cluster nursing methods in the recovery o…

  • Altered Interoceptive Processing in Generalized Anxiety Disorder—A Heartbeat-Evoked Potential Research

Open Access•Jiaoyan Pang, Xiaochen Tang et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Psychiatry•2019

Generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) is one of the most common anxiety disorders. The brain's dysfunctional processing of interoceptive information is increasingly recognized as an important component of anxiety disorders. However, the neural mechanisms remain insufficiently understood. In the present study, patients with GAD and healthy control participants underwent an eyes-closed (EC) resting state (interoception) and eyes-open (EO) resting stat…

  • The Representation and Processing of Subjective Words for Chinese Readers

Guoli Yan, Lanlan Zhang et al.•ARTICLE•Acta Psychologica Sinica•2013
