  • Measurement and optimization pathways of the integration of digital transformation into rural revitalization

Open Access•Qun Gao, Jie Yang et al.•ARTICLE•Humanities and Social Sciences…•2026

Rural revitalization is a critical necessity to address the main conflict within Chinese society. Digital transformation is a powerful initiative for promoting rural revitalization. By measuring the degree of integration between digital transformation and rural revitalization, it is possible to identify the shortcomings and opportunities of digital transformation in facilitating rural development. Based on panel data from 11 provinces in the Yang…

  • Stumbling block or safety net? The impact of environmental income on relative poverty governance

Open Access•Jingyi Yang, Lijuan Zhu et al.•ARTICLE•Trees Forests and People•2026

" Living off mountains and seas," environmental income has long been a critical income source for low-income groups, though its role in relative poverty governance remains unclear. Using rural fixed observation data, taking forestry income with zero input costs as environmental income, and using the 3FGLS method to measure poverty vulnerability, this study examines how environmental income influences relative poverty alleviation. While high pover…

  • Factors influencing the acceptance of medical AI chat assistants among healthcare professionals and patients

Open Access•Lanshan Zhang, Jingyi Yang et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Public Health•2025

Introduction: This study examines the drivers behind healthcare professionals' and patients' acceptance of medical AI chat assistants in China. Methods: A nationwide online survey was conducted from March 10 to April 28, 2024, using quota sampling to collect 500 valid responses, and data were analyzed via structural equation modeling. Results: Performance expectancy, perceived cost, digital access, and digital competence all positively predicted …

  • Soil Microbial Assemblages and Landscape Patterns Shape Compositional Dissimilarities in Woody Plants in Urban Remnant Forest Patches

Open Access•Jingyi Yang, Zijin Wang•ARTICLE•Land Degradation and Development•2025

The effects of abiotic factors on plant composition in urban remnant forests are well‐known, while the relationships between soil microbial and plant communities in terms of compositional similarity remain unclear. In this study, we explored the relative contribution of landscape factors and soil microbial assemblages in shaping the β‐diversity of woody plants in urban remnant forest patches. Research was conducted on woody plants and soil microo…

  • Dispersal mode mediates the seed functional traits of woody plants’ responses to urbanization in remnant forest patches

Open Access•Minglu Guo, Zijin Wang et al.•ARTICLE•Trees Forests and People•2025

Urbanization reduces seed mass, yield, length of short-dispersal trees in remnant forests. • Shrubs produce smaller, lower-yield seeds than trees under urban pressures. • Urbanization mainly impacts tree communities via seed dispersal mechanisms and edge effects. • Green corridors can enhance seed dispersal and biodiversity in urban forests. Urban remnant forests are essential for biodiversity conservation within city landscapes, facing direct im…

  • Rural‐urban disparities in human papillomavirus vaccination

Open Access•Lavanya Vasudevan, Yunfei Wang et al.•ARTICLE•The Journal of Rural Health•2025

BACKGROUND: Rural adolescents in the United States lag behind their urban counterparts in the uptake of the human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine. However, a systematic assessment of factors associated with rural-urban disparities in HPV vaccination coverage to inform potential vaccination promotion interventions is lacking in the literature. Prioritizing HPV vaccination for rural adolescents is necessary for increasing overall HPV vaccination cover…

  • Finite boundary extension of event scene memory

  • Impacts of the attributes of patches and the surrounding matrix on the phylogenetic diversity of tree species in urban remnant forests

Open Access•Jingyi Yang, Feng Wu•ARTICLE•Land Degradation and Development•2024

Urbanization is a major cause of biotic homogenization and evolutionary poverty. Urban remnant forests are biodiversity hotspots in cities but are prone to phylogenetic homogenization. However, how urbanization‐driven changes in patch attributes and landscape heterogeneity levels of the surrounding matrix affect plant phylogenetic diversity in urban remnant forests remains unclear. We quantified tree phylogenetic diversity and structure in 30 rem…

  • Global patterns and controls of soil greenhouse gas fluxes and crop yield under biochar application

Open Access•Xiaoyu Jia, Weiming Yan et al.•ARTICLE•Land Degradation and Development•2023

Biochar application has been proven to be a viable technique in mitigating soil greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and improving crop yield; however, the global patterns and responses of soil GHG fluxes, global warming potential (GWP), crop yield, and greenhouse gas intensity (GHGI) to biochar application, as well as the key drivers of biochar‐induced changes, are not fully synthesized. Hence, we conducted a meta‐analysis of 3883 paired observations …

  • Does stringent environmental regulation reduce the overinvestment of high polluting firms? – Quasi-natural experiment evidence from China’s new “environmental protection law”

Jingyi Yang, Caiqi Bu et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Environmental Planning…•2023

This article studies the impact of stringent environmental regulation on the investment behavior of firms. Using panel data for Chinese listed firms from 2009 to 2018, we take the implementation of the new environmental protection law (NEPL) in 2015 as a quasi-natural experiment and identify its impact on reducing overinvestment of high polluting firms. Further, for the potential mechanism, we find that the reduction in agency costs and the decre…
