The evolution mechanism of regional public brand value
Introduction Regional public brands serve as a critical strategic tool for enhancing regional competitiveness through multi-stakeholder co-creation. However, the dynamic evolutionary mechanisms underlying their brand value remain fragmented and underdeveloped. Methods Drawing on a systematic literature review of 57 high-quality studies, this study integrates brand value chain and brand pyramid theories to systematically delineate the evolutionary…

The effects of implicit emotion regulation on impulsive choice
Impulsive choice is closely associated with heightened engagement in risk‐related behaviours, and emotion regulation may play a critical role in how immediate emotions influence choice outcomes, with different strategies producing distinct effects. Grounded in the Affective Information Theory and the Appraisal‐Tendency Framework, we investigated the effects of two widely adopted implicit emotion regulation strategies, cognitive reappraisal and ex…
Beyond coupling coordination
Introduction: Against the backdrop of economic restructuring and changing consumption patterns, the integrated development of the cultural, tourism, and sports industries has become an important driver of regional growth. Existing studies mainly focus on measuring the degree of coordination among these industries, while paying limited attention to the mechanisms through which coordination is achieved. This study aims to identify the dominant patt…
Inhibitory control deficits in problematic short-form video users
Problematic short-form video users (PSVU) usually exhibit deficits in inhibitory control, which has been attributed to an imbalance between the goal-directed and habitual systems. However, the cognitive processes underlying this association remain unclear. From an information-processing perspective, this study employed the drift–diffusion model (DDM) to examine the link between inhibitory control deficits and a dual-system imbalance in PSVU. Thir…
Reforming trade governance for sustainable resource flows
Growing global resource demand is intensifying ecological inequality. Our integrated biophysical and governance analysis of 65 Pan-Eurasian nations shows that by 2050, under a business-as-usual pathway, 90 % of ecological overload (measured by the ecological carrying index, ECI) will occur in lower-income, agriculture-dependent countries (ECI > 1.2). Burdens are highly uneven: the poorest 50 % of countries bear 70 % of the overload, while the ric…
Multidimensional social support and gig workers’ performance in digital platforms
Digital gig platforms grant gig workers greater autonomy and flexibility, yet they also introduce challenges such as self-management and feelings of isolation, making social support increasingly vital within gig work. To address the existing gap in research regarding how social support influences gig work performance and its underlying mechanisms within emerging digital gig platforms, this study integrates Social Support Theory and Affective Even…
Translating Foreign Health News for Public Education
This study examines how translated foreign health news contributes to public health education in China, with a particular focus on Cankao Xiaoxi’s translated news coverage of food and nutrition. More Interpersonal Difficulties, More Preferences for Immediate Gratification? Investigating the Effect of Social Pain With the Frame Effect on Impulsive Choice
In recent years, researchers have increasingly focused on the impact of pain on impulsive choice. Some studies suggested that pain leads to shortsightedness, while others found no effect of pain conditions on impulsive choice. Based on the dual system theory of decision‐making, this study proposed that moderate levels of social pain might prompt individuals to adopt forward‐looking and predictive responses, think more rationally and process relev…
Transformational leadership and teachers’ voice behaviour
Teachers’ voice behaviour has attracted growing attention in universities due to its positive outcomes for institutional reform and improvement. This study investigated how and under what conditions university leaders’ transformational leadership is beneficial to teachers’ voice behaviour using data collected from 434 teachers from universities in China. As a result, we proposed a moderated mediation model of the association between transformatio…

A self-regulatory approach to rational decisions
We examined the effects of the deliberative and implemental mindset on decision behavior when decisions require Bayesian updating of beliefs. In the decision task, in some situations Bayes' rule conflicts with a simple reinforcement-based heuristic. Previous research showed that in these situations individuals rely on the faulty heuristic, hence committing many decision errors. We investigated deliberative and implemental mindset effects on the r…
