  • The proactive health behavior and somatic functional status in Chinese rural chronic patients

Open Access•Yangzhen Huang, Hua Qing et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Public Health•2025

Background: As chronic diseases become more prevalent in rural China, maintaining health and functional capacity has become a major challenge. In this context, individual proactive health behaviors (PHB) may play a crucial role. However, the mechanisms through which PHB influence somatic functional status (SFS) are still unclear. Particularly, the role of social participation (SP) in this process remains unexplored. Methods: A cross-sectional sur…

  • The Efficacy of an SFBT-Based Positive Psychology Intervention in Promoting University Students’ Post-Traumatic Growth and Psychological Resilience After the Covid-19 Pandemic

    Open Access•Chunying Wang, Chun-Ying Wang et al.•ARTICLE•Research on Social Work Practice•2024•Cited by: 1•References: 1

Purpose: This study examines the efficacy of a positive psychology intervention involving solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT) techniques in promoting university students' post-traumatic growth and psychological resilience after the COVID-19 pandemic. Methods: The research hypotheses were tested via a quasi-experimental design with pre- and post-tests including three groups: intervention ( n = 28), active control ( n = 25), and control groups ( …

  • Dietary copper intake and the prevalence of kidney stones among adult in the United States

Open Access•Weidong Zhu, Chunying Wang et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Public Health•2022

Background Trace metals are essential trace elements for the human body, but insufficient or excessive levels of metal ions can lead to the development of disease. The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between dietary intake of copper and the prevalence of kidney stones in U.S. adult population. Methods We included data on dietary intake of trace metals from 28,623 adult participants in the National Health and Nutrition Examin…

  • Comparison of Life Cycle Environmental Impact between Two Processes for Silver Separation from Copper Anode Slime

Open Access•Zehong Li, Wenbiao Zhang et al.•ARTICLE•International Journal of…•2022

The cost of silver separation is lowered when ammonia and hydrazine hydrate are replaced with sodium thiosulfate and sodium dithionite in the process of extracting of metallic silver from copper anode slime. The overall environmental impact of two types of copper silver separation processes from anode slime has been analyzed\using the LCA method. Through the subdivision analysis, we found the raw materials or emission items that should be improve…

  • Association between Sleep and Suicidal Ideation in Chinese Undergraduate Students

Open Access•Ran Wu, Chunying Wang et al.•ARTICLE•International Journal of…•2022

Suicide is an important global public health issue, which deserves more attention. This study aims to examine the relative independent relationship between suicide ideation and subjective sleep quality, sleep hygiene, and insomnia symptoms in undergraduate students in China. This population-based study included 2379 undergraduate students aged 18-26, randomly recruited from three public universities in Shanghai. The participants completed four qu…

  • Gray Markets in the Great Leap

    Open Access•Chunying Wang, Y Yvon Wang•ARTICLE•Modern China•2022•References: 29

This article uses legal archives from Liangshan 梁山 county, Shandong, to explore the ambiguous position of rural markets in China during the Great Leap Forward campaign (1958–1962). These testimonies, though sparse, show that negotiations at a local, indeed personal, level underpinned the symbiosis between the “second economy” of illicit trade and the party-state’s putatively socialist political economy. Liangshan’s gray market bridged the gap bet…

  • Characterization and Computation of Yb/TiO2 and Its Photocatalytic Degradation with Benzohydroxamic Acid

Open Access•Xianping Luo, Sipin Zhu et al.•ARTICLE•International Journal of…•2017

Yb-doped TiO2 (Yb/TiO2) compositions were synthesized by sol-gel method, and the prepared materials were characterized by X-ray Diffraction (XRD), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), UV-visible diffuse-reflectance spectrum (UV-Vis DRS), transmission electron microscope (TEM) and high resolution transmission electron microscope (HRTEM), energy dispersive spectrometer (EDS), and N2 adsorption. A beneficiation reagent of benzohydroxamic acid (BH…

  • Treatment of Ammonia Nitrogen Wastewater in Low Concentration by Two-Stage Ozonization

Open Access•Xianping Luo, Qun Yan et al.•ARTICLE•International Journal of…•2015

Ammonia nitrogen wastewater (about 100 mg/L) was treated by two-stage ozone oxidation method. The effects of ozone flow rate and initial pH on ammonia removal were studied, and the mechanism of ammonia nitrogen removal by ozone oxidation was discussed. After the primary stage of ozone oxidation, the ammonia removal efficiency reached 59.32% and pH decreased to 6.63 under conditions of 1 L/min ozone flow rate and initial pH 11. Then, the removal e…
