  • Understanding Critical-Pedagogical-Performative-Autoethnography

    Open Access•Daniel Johnson, Daniel F Johnson-Mardones•ARTICLE•Culture Studies ↔ Critical…•2015•Cited by: 1•References: 3

This work is an attempt to understand critical-pedagogical-performative-autoethnography. This effort took place in an independent study that we understood as a pedagogical encounter. • Listening to Paulo Freire: Breaking the Silence

    Open Access•Daniel Johnson, Daniel F Johnson-Mardones•ARTICLE•Culture Studies ↔ Critical…•2015•References: 2

This piece draws on Freire's work and the experience of reading it in order to elaborate some working ideas to be developed as a rereading of Paulo Freire's scholarship as a whole. The point of view is grounded in my being a Latin American studying my PhD in the United States; looking backward, making sense of the present, hoping for a better future. It also intends to initiate both a personal and collective conversation
