Early socioaffective programming in infants
Maternal perinatal stress is a well‐documented risk factor for adverse child outcomes, but limited evidence is available from Latin America. This study investigated associations between maternal psychosocial stress during pregnancy and postpartum and infant socioaffective development at 3 months of age in Argentina. The sample included 198 mother–infant dyads recruited from two public health centers. Mothers completed standardized assessments of …

Argentinean Adaptation and Psychometric Properties of the Emotion Regulation Questionnaire (ERQ)
The Emotion Regulation Questionnaire (ERQ) is a self-report measure designed to assess the two most widely studied strategies of Gross' model: cognitive reappraisal and expressive suppression. Even though there are two Spanish adaptations of the ERQ, region-specific linguistic factors and dialects must also be considered when adapting a test for another country in order to ensure equivalent evaluations across cultures. The present work developed …
Difficulties in emotional regulation and intolerance of uncertainty in university students
The aim of the study was to determine if the difficulties that people may experience to regulate their negative emotions have an effect on intolerance of uncertainty (the ability to tolerate the distress associated with uncertain stimuli). To do this, the Difficulties in Emotion Regulation Scale and the Intolerance of Uncertainty Scale were applied to 152 Argentine university students. Multi-ple linear regression analyzes were performed, uncertai…
