  • Assessing long-term strategies to effectively counteracting online misogynistic speech using a Delphi-based future scenarios approach

Open Access•Simone Di Zio, Lara Fontanella et al.•ARTICLE•Futures•2026•References: 47

This paper addresses the pressing issue of online misogynistic speech, which has proliferated with the widespread use of social media platforms. • AI-assisted Real-Time Spatial Delphi

    Open Access•Yuri Calleo, Amos Taylor et al.•ARTICLE•Quality & Quantity•2025

The Real-Time Spatial Delphi represents an innovative method tailored to navigate the complexities of uncertain spatial issues. Adopted in Future Studies contexts, this method excels in developing spatial scenarios and leveraging the collaborative insights of experts within a virtual environment to achieve a consensus regarding territorial dynamics. However, while this method yields invaluable spatial insights and statistical metrics, the final o…

  • Exploring a method to reduce inconsistency in the group Analytic Hierarchy Process using the Delphi method and Nudge theory

Open Access•Simone Di Zio, Tuula Gordon et al.•ARTICLE•Futures•2024•References: 41

This paper reports a new method based on a Delphi process to nudge responses of participants toward consistency in an Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) study. We hypothesized that data collected during an early round of an AHP study could establish ranges of answers for later rounds that would improve consistency of responses. In our design, the Delphi method provided an effective framework for feedback of the bounds calculated between rounds. Usi…

  • Delphi-based visual scenarios

Open Access•Simone Di Zio, Yuri Calleo et al.•ARTICLE•Futures•2023•Cited by: 2•References: 45

In the Futures Studies context, the Delphi-based scenario (DBS) is a valuable method for setting future-oriented strategies and actions by gathering expert opinions in multiple iterative rounds, in order to make better decisions in the present. However, one of the main challenges is to find a suitable representation of the scenarios both for evaluation and decision-making. The development of future scenarios requires high creativity and simple te…
