  • How perspective-taking underlies creative thinking and the socio-emotional competency in trainings of drama pedagogy

Open Access•Macarena-Paz Celume, Franck Zenasni•ARTICLE•Estudos de Psicologia (Campinas)•2022

Policy-makers and scholars agree that creativity and socio-emotional competencies can be taught, learned, and enhanced through creative arts like theatre. Nevertheless, few authors have studied the processes underlying both constructs in artistic education, which would permit to understand how children develop them and re-create adapted methodologies. Thus, we proposed to observe a drama pedagogy training for elementary school children, evaluatin…

Auguste Dumouilla, Miguel Botella et al.•ARTICLE•British Journal of Guidance and…•2021

Although diverse European policy initiatives have been developed to integrate young NEETs – “Not in Employment, Education or Training”, it is particularly relevant to question how NEETs are perceived by their counterparts who are actively engaged in society. For this reason, we aimed to examine the Social Representations (SRs) of NEETs in France, using the classic free evocation technique. French NEETs (n = 71) and matched controls (n = 66; peopl…

  • Confirmation of a Two-Factor Solution to the Questionnaire of Cognitive and Affective Empathy in a French Population of Patients With Schizophrenia Spectrum Disorders

    Open Access•Éric Brunet-Gouet, Nils Myszkowski et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Psychiatry•2019

The Questionnaire of Cognitive and Affective Empathy (QCAE) is a tool for self-assessing the cognitive and emotional components of empathy. A study showed that a two-factor model fits the data of patients with schizophrenia, whereas other reports on healthy subjects have suggested a five-factor decomposition. We aimed to replicate the model of Horan et al. in a French population with schizophrenia spectrum disorders (i.e., schizophrenia and schiz…

  • How Efficient Are Emotional Intelligence Trainings: A Meta-Analysis

Open Access•Sabina Hodžić, Jana Scharfen et al.•ARTICLE•Emotion Review•2018

This multilevel meta-analysis examines whether emotional intelligence (EI) can be enhanced through training and identifies training effects’ determinants. We identified 24 studies containing 28 samples aiming at increasing individual-level EI among healthy adults. The results revealed a significant moderate standardized mean change between pre- and post-measurement for the main effect of EI training, and a stable pre- to follow-up effect. Additio…

Organizational citizenship behaviors are not directly rewarded by organizations. However, they seem to contribute to excellent performance at work. The aim of this study is to test quality of working life's (QoWL) mediating role in the relationship between emotional intelligence (EI) and organizational citizenship behaviors (OCB). 203 French adults working regularly in teams completed validated self-report measures corresponding to each construct…

  • Social Representation of Gifted Children: A Preliminary Study in France

Jean‐louis Tavani, Jean Louis Tavani et al.•ARTICLE•Gifted and Talented International•2009
