Open Access•Zhijie Xie, Fangfang Wen et al.•ARTICLE•Personality and Social Psychology…•2026

Across a pilot study and five experiments with Chinese and U.S. participants (N = 1,202), we investigated whether social mobility direction influences judgments of pain sensitivity and treatment, and whether perceived tenacity serves as a…

  • The dominance of social setting cues over gender in social categorization and induction

Open Access•Hanxue Ye, Fangfang Wen et al.•ARTICLE•Asian Journal Of Social Psychology•2026

Research on social categorization has largely emphasized intrinsic cues such as gender, while the role of structural cues remains underexplored. Drawing on structuralist perspectives, this research directly compared the dominance of social setting cues, a concrete form of structural cues, and gender cues in social categorization and category‐based induction. Across three studies with five experiments, participants completed triad tasks using both…

Open Access•Fangfang Wen, Bin Zuo et al.•ARTICLE•Archives of Sexual Behavior•2021•Referencias: 65

Past research on women’s preferences for male facial masculinity in Western cultures has produced inconsistent results. Some inconsistency may be related to the use of different facial stimulus manipulations (e.g., between-sex sexual dimorphic facial manipulation or within-sex sexual dimorphic facial manipulation) that do not perfectly avoid non-facial cues, and pregnancy status may also influence women’s face preferences. We therefore recruited …
