Preservice teachers’ knowledge-sharing self-efficacy and knowledge-sharing behavior
Knowledge sharing positively impacts students’ learning quality and performance. However, the mechanisms through which self-efficacy influences knowledge sharing among preservice teachers remain unclear. This study addresses the existing research gap by examining the moderating role of social media literacy in this relationship. Using partial least squares structural equation modeling, data from 1494 preservice teachers were analyzed. Results sho…
Transformational leadership and firm performance
The research findings on the impact of transformational leadership (TL) on organizational performance remain controversial, and the mediating mechanisms in this relationship, including innovation capability and the use of management accounting systems (MAS), have not been thoroughly examined. Therefore, this study aims to enhance the understanding of this issue. Drawing on TL theory and resource-based theory, this research examines the direct and…
The indirect effect of travel mode use on subjective well-being through out-of-home activities
The issue of the effects of travel on subjective well-being (SWB) has recently attracted increasing interest in transport studies. A common finding is that travel affects SWB indirectly through out-of-home activities. However, little is known about how to operationalize this relationship. In this study, we proposed a conceptual model and estimated structural equation models relating travel mode use and activities with multiple SWB dimensions, inc…
Transformational leadership and public employee performance
Despite the growing attention given to the connection between transformational leadership (TL) and job performance (JP), the precise mechanisms driving this association remain inadequately understood. This research delves into diverse causal factors that elucidate the TL–JP relationship. Drawing upon both TL theory and self-determination theory, the study explores the mediating role of employee participation in developing performance measures (PM…
Results-oriented Culture and Organizational Performance
Drawing on New Public Management (NPM) theory, this study examines the mediating role of financial accountability in the relationship between results-oriented culture and performance in public sector organizations in Vietnam. The research model and hypotheses have been tested by SmartPLS3 software with 289 survey samples from accountants and managers working in public sector organizations in Vietnam. The results show that results-oriented culture…
Associations between motorized transport access, out-of-home activities, and life-space mobility in older adults in Japan
In this study, different levels of motorized transport access and different types of out-of-home activities were found to associate differently with composite LSA scores. Based on these findings, we suggest that policymakers should provide more transport access, pay more attention to the LSM of older adults with high clinics/hospital activities, and trigger more shopping and daily leisure activities for older adults to improve the LSM of this pop…
