Performing rodeo queen culture: Competition, athleticism and excessive feminine masquerade
Within the culture of rodeo, women occupy contested and often contradictory positions. Rodeo queens participate in excessive feminine masquerade not easily or exclusively defined by traditional, patriarchal codes.
