  • Sustainable food consumption in commensality: Perspective of time orientation

Qiumin JIANG, Yaoqi Li et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Sustainable Tourism•2026

Despite growing recognition of the significance of food waste reduction, prior research has largely overlooked food waste behaviors in commensal settings. This study employs a field experiment and an online study to examine how intergenerational structures (peer vs. intergenerational) in commensality interact with time perspective (cyclical vs. linear) to shape food waste reduction behavior. The findings reveal that within intergenerational dinin…

  • You only live once: The influence of temporal perspective on individual consumption tendency

Yaoqi Li, Zhengren CHEN et al.•ARTICLE•Acta Psychologica Sinica•2026
