Supplemental Material for Sparse Models for Predicting Psychosocial Impairments in Patients With PTSD
Psychosocial predictors of somatic symptoms in adolescents of parents with HIV
The objective of this study was to identify salient parent and adolescent psychosocial factors related to somatic symptoms in adolescents. As part of a larger intervention study conducted in New York, 409 adolescents were recruited from 269 parents with HIV. A longitudinal model predicted adolescent somatization scores six years after baseline assessment. Adolescent somatic symptoms were assessed at baseline and at 3-month intervals for the first…
Cambodian disaster relief
The lack of available data impedes the efficient delivery of health care in disaster situations. We present organizational information and patient data based on review of 924 consecutive admissions seen during our three-month experience as refugee camp pediatricians at Khao-I-Dang Holding Center for Kampucheans in Thailand. Most patients had severe and multiple common diseases, with pneumonia, diarrhea, measles, and meningitis having the highest …
Microcomputer System Laboratory Course in a University Environment
A two-part microcomputer system laboratory course at the Technical University of Munich is presented. The course introduces the students into organization and programming of two basically different microcomputer systems which are based on a microprocessor with fixed instruction set (Intel 8080) and on a fast user-microprogrammable bit-slice microprocessor (Am 2900). Both systems are used in real-time projects. The 8080 system performs an experime…

Giovanni Aurelio Augurello, Girolamo Avogadro, and Isabella d'Este
The rôle of Giovanni Aurelio Augurello in the history of Renaissance Petrarchism is not altogether negligible. For this humanist, whose Latin poetry was so much admired by his contemporaries, initiated a new approach in the imitation of Petrarch. The over subtle conceits, the frivolity of the subject-matter, the stale clichés, the prevalent linguistic licence, were, in his view, to be replaced by an adherence to rigid rules and a rhetoric based o…

Notes on Dionigi Da Borgo San Sepolcro
The Austin Friar Dionigi da Borgo San Sepolcro, who became bishop of Monopoli in south Italy and died in 1342, is not entirely without significance in the history of fourteenth-century Italian humanism. His friendship with Petrarch and influence on the young Boccaccio, who came into contact with him in Naples, are alone sufficient to secure him a small niche in the literary history of Italy. But apart from this, Dionigi's own activity as a humani…

The Sienese Philologists of the Cinquecento —A Bibliographical Introduction
The Sienese Philologists of the Cinquecento —A Bibliographical Introduction
Primarily a student of the Middle Ages, my old friendship with Professor Bullock has driven me to search among old notes and papers in the hope of finding materials for a study connected with the period he had so thoroughly made his own. To write on some topic connected with the CINQUECENTO is only fitting in a publication dedicated to his memory. Hence my choice of what is, perhaps too ambitiously, styled ‘a bibliographical introduction,’ and wh…
