Altered Neuroanatomical Signatures of Patients With Treatment-Resistant Schizophrenia Compared to Patients With Early-Stage Schizophrenia and Healthy Controls
Our findings suggest significant cognitive impairment and reductions in CT and SCV in individuals with TRS compared to those with ES-S and HCs. These abnormalities could act as biomarkers for earlier identification of TRS
The agency-structure problem in peacebuilding
The structural dynamics of the Korean conflict has evolved not only with the inter-Korean rivalry, but also the geopolitics of great power rivalries. The conflict structure was reinforced going through the Korean War and the Cold War. There have been several South Korean initiatives to build peace with North Korea in the post-Cold War era, however the peace process fluctuated due to the escalation of the US-North Korean conflict over the nuclear …

Self-Awareness of Psychopathology and Brain Volume in Patients With First Episode Psychosis
Memory impairment, excessive rumination, and increased interpersonal sensitivity are major characteristics of high psychosis risk or first episode psychosis (FEP). Herein, we investigated the relationship between brain volume and self-awareness of psychopathology in patients with FEP. All participants (FEP: 34 and HCs: 34) completed clinical assessments and the following self-reported psychopathology evaluations: prospective and retrospective mem…
Distinct Differences in Emotional Recognition According to Severity of Psychotic Symptoms in Early-Stage Schizophrenia
Patients with schizophrenia are characterized by deficits in their ability to identify facial expressions of emotion, which are associated with impaired social and occupational function. An understanding of the deficits of facial affect recognition (FAR) early in the course of the illness can improve early intervention efforts to ameliorate potential functional deterioration. This study aimed to investigate the characteristics and correlations be…
Effects of Community Mental Health Service in Subjects with Early Psychosis
North Korean Reform and Opening
1 July 2002, North Korea, a closed authoritarian socialist regime, proclaimed the adoption of a new reform policy for 'Economic Management Improvement.' Prior to this measure, a series of reform policies which had been cautiously planned and implemented since the early 1990s had failed to produce noticeable achievements for economic restructuring in North Korea, mainly because the policies focused strictly on the political imperatives of minimizi…
