On the development of a code of ethics
Ethical conduct, proposed or valued in the codes of ethics of human service occupations, may be classified in four broad categories: (1) the practitioner, (2) the client and others affected by or affecting the client, (3) professional colleagues, and (4) society. All of these seem applicable to the needs of a social work code of ethics
Advocacy and the Injustice of Justice
This paper suggests a way of understanding the concept of advocacy in its particular relevance to social work. The three levels of advocacy identified suggest the activities in which the social worker may fruitfully engage in order to improve the lot of persons and groups in whose behalf he is working
