  • Can the Construction of New Energy Demonstration Cities Drive Energy Consumption Structure Transformation? Evidence from Chinese Cities

Open Access•Qiongwen Cheng, Lihua Wu et al.•ARTICLE•Sustainable Cities and Society•2026

  • Effects of acupuncture and exercise on EEG characteristics and cognitive control in college students with high procrastination tendency

Open Access•Xinwang Chen, Yajing Guo et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Public Health•2026

Procrastination is more than just a common human foible; it is a ubiquitous behavioral disorder that can negatively impact learning, productivity, and mental health. The psychological and neurological mechanisms underlying chronic procrastination are surprisingly complex, involving impairments in self-control, emotional regulation, and episode anticipation networks, and may lead to emotional distress, reduced self-confidence, and even physical sy…

  • Mechanism of cognitive processing for acupuncture action on generalized anxiety with naturally occurring consecutive partial sleep deprivation in early adulthood: A randomized controlled study and eva…

Open Access•Ce Shi, Lihua Wu et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Public Health•2024

Introduction: Generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) is a common mental disorder that often begins in adolescence or early adulthood and is characterized by widespread and persistent anxiety. Partial sleep deprivation (PSD) is an important risk factor for GAD development and a common comorbidity. Adolescence is a period of rapid brain and nervous system development, and during this time, the occurrence of GAD can lead to neurocognitive deficits, such…

  • Can regional integration promote industrial green transformation? Empirical evidence from Yangtze River Delta Urban Agglomeration

    Open Access•Sijia Li, Lihua Wu•ARTICLE•Journal of Environmental Studies…•2023•References: 7

  • Analysis of the impact mechanism of environmental regulations on corporate environmental proactivity—based on the perspective of political connections

Open Access•Zhaoqiang Yi, Lihua Wu•ARTICLE•Business Ethics, the Environment…•2022

Previous studies have demonstrated the favorable effects of political connections on corporate environmental proactivity (CEP). However, few studies have further verified whether this is definitively the case under environmental regulations and their underlying reasons, which would help elucidate the performance and motivation of politically connected firms’ (PCFs’) environmental proactivity. Using data from Chinese A‐shares‐listed industrial fir…

  • Valeriana amurensis improves Amyloid-beta 1-42 induced cognitive deficit by enhancing cerebral cholinergic function and protecting the brain neurons from apoptosis in mice

Open Access•Qiuhong Wang, Changfu Wang et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Ethnopharmacology•2014

These findings suggest that AD-EFV could ameliorate Aβ induced cognitive dysfunction through two underlying mechanisms: AD-EFV enhances the cerebral cholinergic function by increasing the secretion of ACh and enhancing the ChAT activity, and AD-EFV protects the brain neurons from Aβ induced apoptosis via activating the p-ERK and Bcl-2 signaling and suppressing the Bax pathways. Besides, the main constituents of AD-EFV are lignans which might be r…
