Alterations in coupling between global brain activity and cerebrospinal fluid flow in patients with insomnia disorder before and after transcranial direct current stimulation
Our results indicate that IDs exhibit impaired glymphatic system function, as reflected by reduced gBOLD-CSF coupling strength. This reduction was correlated with the severity of both insomnia and anxiety symptoms. Moreover, we demonstrated that tDCS can not only improve symptoms of insomnia, anxiety, and depression but also enhance glymphatic activity in IDs
Spatiotemporal Pattern and Convergence Test of Energy Eco-Efficiency in the Yellow River Basin
Examining the convergence characteristics of energy eco-efficiency in the Yellow River Basin (YRB) is of great significance for the sustainable development of China. It fulfills the international commitment to carbon peak and carbon neutrality. Based on the Super-EBM model and ML index, this paper measures the energy eco-efficiency of 60 cities in the YRB during 2006-2018, and then spatial and temporal patterns are both analyzed before the final …
Two-Dimensional Decoupling and Decomposition Analysis of CO2 Emissions from Economic Growth
Precise decoupling of CO 2 emission and economic development holds promise for the sustainability of China in a post-industrialization era. This paper measures the energy-related CO 2 emissions of 57 cities in the Yellow River Basin (YRB) during 2006-2019 and analyzes their decoupling states and dynamic evolution paths based on the derived general analytical framework of two-dimensional decoupling states to decompose their decoupling index using …
Dietary Lead Exposure and Associated Health Risks in Guangzhou, China
Lead exposure is associated with a wide range of adverse effects on human health. The principal exposure route in the general population is through the diet. In this study, we estimate the dietary lead intake and associated health risks among the residents of Guangzhou, China. Data on lead concentrations were derived from the food safety risk monitoring system, which included 6339 samples from 27 food categories collected in 2014-2017. Food consu…
An Assessment of Dietary Exposure to Cadmium in Residents of Guangzhou, China
Cadmium and its compounds are human carcinogens with severe organ toxicity, and their contamination of agricultural soil in China has been frequently reported; however, the dietary exposure to cadmium in residents and the relevant health risk have seldom been reported. In this study, the concentration of cadmium in various types of food collected from 2013 to 2015 were analyzed using graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry, and the dietar…
Financial Protection Under the New Rural Cooperative Medical Schemes in China
BACKGROUND: This study was the first of its kind to analyze the finance protection in New Rural Cooperative Medical Scheme in China using a claim database analysis. METHODS: A claim database analysis of all hospitalizations reimbursed from the New Rural Cooperative Medical Scheme between January 2005 and December 2008 in Panyu district of Guangzhou covering 108,414 discharges was conducted to identify the difference in real reimbursement rate amo…
