    An archaeological data recovery program was conducted at 32DU2, the Midipadi Butte site, in eastern Dunn County, North Dakota, for the Omaha District, Corps of Engineers. At least two distinct cultural components are represented in the material recovered. A Besant complex, Woodland tradition component (ca.     Prior to the inception of major federal salvage programs in 1946, archaeologists working in the Middle Missouri Subarea paid little serious attention to vertebrate fauna.
