On the Consequences of Model Misspecification in Longitudinal Missing Data Analysis
Longitudinal studies are widely used in the social and behavioral sciences to investigate intraindividual change over time and interindividual differences in change. Because data are collected repe
The influence of target detection on recognition memory during memory retrieval
This study developed a target detection delayed response task to investigate the impact of target detection on recognition memory. Participants performed a word recognition task accompanied by a target detection task, where they identified targets but refrained from responding (target decision trials); in subsequent trials, they responded to previously detected targets (target response trial), while in distraction trials, they ignored distraction…
Study on the prediction performance of Aids monthly incidence in Xinjiang based on time series and deep learning models
The ETS (A, A, A) model is the best model for predicting the monthly AIDS incidence in Xinjiang. Deep learning models (such as LSTM) have significant potential in time series forecasting. The XGBoost model and ARIMA (2,1,2) model may have limitations when handling time series data, and future improvements or combinations could enhance prediction performance
A Comparative Evaluation of a Conditional Median-Based Bayesian Growth Curve Modeling Approach with Missing Data
The effect of parental involvement on young children’s independent literacy practice and achievement among preschoolers in China
Are the Signs of Factor Loadings Arbitrary in Confirmatory Factor Analysis? Problems and Solutions
The replication crisis in social and behavioral sciences has raised concerns about the reliability and validity of empirical studies. While research in the literature has explored contributing factors to this crisis, the issues related to analytical tools have received less attention. This study focuses on a widely used analytical tool - confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) - and investigates one issue that is typically overlooked in practice: accu…
Exploring the relationship between perceived technology-assisted teacher support and technology-embedded scientific inquiry
This study examines the correlations between perceived technology-assisted teacher support; student hardiness (i.e. individual commitment, challenge, and control); and technology-embedded scientific inquiry (TESI) using a mediational model approach. Data were gathered from the series of questionnaires administered to 1566 Chinese students with an average age of 11.5. Structural equation modelling (SEM) analysis results confirmed our assumption th…
The Observing to Conflict Occurrence Can Induce the Conflict Adaptation
